I'm trying to tinker around with the rules of the game to make it more fun and be able to use some of the cards from the later releases. I want to try an MTG style EDH format where you build a 100 card singleton deck. I'll probably try having each player start with 5 fighters and may require them to all have the same team symbol.
Anybody have any suggestions, or think something like this would be fun?

Sounds interesting. Did you do a test run?

No, I only have one friend who can play and I have to construct both decks. It makes deck building and team choosing very difficult.

I understand the pain there, I have a few friends who will humor me, but I have to provide all the cards/decks. I've also thought about the Singleton format for this, but I don't think 100 cards is the way to go. Yu Yu Hakusho uses 40 as its base deck size, whereas Magic uses 60. Proportionately, 66-67 cards would be a similar increase, though I would drop that to 60. The game has quite a bit of tutoring without much effort so I don't think it's going to give quite the same feel in any respect. I still think it's worth checking out though.
